Our Vision, Values & Mission
Celebrate God's Presence

We worship a mighty God and His presence is to be celebrated. With
our contemporary worship style we seek to lift up the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ. We do this by:
- Being contemporary in our worship style, whilst respecting our
great Christian heritage.
- Celebrating the Lord's Supper monthly in our worship services
- Developing a vibrant music and song writing ministry under the
direction of our Coordinator of Creative Ministries.
- Honouring the reading of the Bible and the vitality of corporate
prayer.
- Bring encouraging and relevant messages from God's Word.
Communicate God's Word

Our Lord's last command was for us to go and make disciples,
communicating God's Word to the world in which we live. We are
committed to evangelism and we do this by:
- Encouraging one on one friendship evangelism.
- Conducting worship services that are sensitive to all.
- A vital Youth Ministry based on age groups (Kindy to Year 7, High
School and 18Plus)
- Community Events including the Blackwood Parade and Carols!

Demonstrate God's Love

Serving God and ministering to others is one of our top priorities.
Loving people in practical "down to earth" ways is important to us. We
seek to do this in a number of ways:
- Through our Small Groups who are in touch with the needs of their
members and those around them.
- By providing accommodation at Wyn House for students from the
country, interstate and overseas.
- By providing Chaplains in schools and elite sports. Two members
of the Pastoral Team give their time, much of it voluntarily, to
chaplaincy work. Brandon is Chaplain with AFL's Port Adelaide Football
Club and Sam is Chaplain at Blackwood High School. Two other members
of our congregation, Sarah Walding, is Chaplain at Belair Primary
School and Mark Nankivell is Chaplain at Glenunga International
School. They each give between 5-15 hours per week to their roles.
- By supporting Baptist World Aid and other aid agencies.
Educate God's People
Growing in the knowledge of God and the Bible, and the skills
needed for life. With a broad understanding of Christian education we
achieve this by:
- Encouraging and providing sound resources for the study of the
Bible in small groups.
- Developing seminars helpful to those who want to develop in their
faith.
- Sponsoring educational seminars and workshops for the skills
needed for effective and enriching living, for example, parenting and
marriage seminars.
- Preaching from the Word of God Sunday by Sunday.
- Promoting daily Bible reading.
Welcome people into God's Family

God calls us as an extended family to be committed to one another.
The Christian faith brings us into an intimate relationship with God
and other believers. We encourage this by:
- Practising believer's baptism.
- Encouraging every regular attender to be a committed member
of a Small Group.
Each Small Group contains the following focus:
- FUN - enjoying each others company in and out of the formal group
time.
- FELLOWSHIP - Caring for one another as we share life's ups and
downs as part of God's family.
- FUNDAMENTALS - Exercising the fundamentals of the gospel as
expressed in the church's Mission Statement.
